Aaron Carter Honours Late Sister With Butterfly Face Tattoo

Rapper Aaron Carter has decided to honour the memory of his late sister with a butterfly facial tattoo.
The 34-year-old shared the ink new ink above his right eye in a post to Instagram on Saturday. Carter also posted images of three other fresh tattoos; the word “Freedom” on his forehead, “Karma” above his left eye, and his son Prince’s name under his right eye.
Captioning an image of a bright blue butterfly above his right eye, Carter wrote: “Life is such a valuable learning lesson, IF you [allow] it to be that. With that being said, this is my body and this tattoo by @tattoo_mike_13 is to commemorate the passing of my sister Leslie Barbara Carter.”
“She was an amazing mother and was nothing more than someone I admired. I always wanted to make her proud. Leslie, I know you’re in paradise. I do feel you inside. The things you taught me and your favourite colour being blue, you were a Gemini and you were fearless.”
His late sister, Leslie Carter, died tragically at the age of 25 following an apparent drug overdose in 2012. Previously, in 2019, Carter unveiled a tattoo of Medusa in honour of his mother, whom he called his “protector”.
The new butterfly ink conceals the name of Carter’s ex-fiancee, Melanie Martin, who ended their relationship in February after accusing him of breaking her ribs.
