Alison Brie To Star Alongside John Cena In Upcoming Picture ‘Freelance’

John Cena and Alison Brie are to star in AGC Studios‘ upcoming film, Freelance.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the action-comedy picture follows a former soldier who takes on a security job for a journalist preparing to interview a dictator.
When the interview is interrupted by a military coup, the unlikely trio must escape through the jungle all the while surviving their hunters – and each other.
Pierre Morel helms the project, based on a script by Jacob Lentz. Steve Richards, Renee Tab and Christopher Tuffin are each touted to produce.
Brie – who will portray the down on her luck journalist – is best known for her role as Annie Edison in Community and playing Ruth Wilder in GLOW, for which she received a Golden Globe.
She has also featured in films such as Scream 4, How to Be Single and The Post.
Cena, who claims the part of the former soldier, is currently celebrating the successful debut of his new HBO series, Peacemaker – based on his titular character from DC’s The Suicide Squad.
Currently, the 44-year-old actor and wrestler is working on the upcoming spy film Argylle, as well as two Fast & Furious sequels – F10 Part 1 and F10 Part 2.
Production on Freelance will begin in Columbia later this month.
