Amy Schumer Doesn’t Approve Of Photoshopped Image Of Herself

Amy Schumer noticed something disturbing on her Instagram yesterday…
She was scrolling through social media when she became aware of an Instagram users, under the username get_insta_ready, who seemingly edits photographs of individuals and re-uploads them to social media in an effort to show the changes that can be made through simple edits on Photoshop.
It has been a history of events in the last few years with major tabloids facing criticism for body shaming — and rightly so — but with the rapidly developing world of social media, it has become even easier for anyone to body shame and in some cases, get away with it.
The account in question put a caption saying, “DM me pictures of you [that you] would like to post and I will make them insta ready! Like what [I] did with Amy Schumer? I will do that for you too,” and Amy herself responded.
She said, “Woof this is not good for our culture. I like how I look and don’t want to look like a carbon copy of this one type woman you feel is the best way to look,”.
The account has since disappeared from Instagram’s search engine.
