E.T. Reunited With Elliott In Thanksgiving Special For Xfinity
E.T. has returned to Earth for a Comcast Xfinity advertisement.
The surprise promotional clip for Comcast has left viewers sobbing after Elliott reunites with his old extraterrestrial friend.
Steven Spielberg’s hit 1982 film was a huge success when it released with a box office income of over $792 million — since then, a sequel has never dropped, until now.
In a statement from Henry Thomas, who played Elliott in the extraterrestrial film, he said, “The audience is going to get everything they want out of a sequel without the messy bits that could destroy the beauty of the original and the special place it has in people’s minds and hearts,”
The description of the reuniting of E.T. and Elliott reads, “After 37 years, E.T. comes back to visit his friend, Elliott, for the holidays. During his stay, E.T. learns that Elliott now has a family of his own and that technology has completely changed on Earth since his last visit.”
