Idris Elba To Return As ‘Luther’ In New Netflix Film With Andy Serkis

Idris Elba will reprise the role of Luther in a new Netflix film with Andy Serkis and Cynthia Erivo.
According The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix is producing the film in collaboration with the BBC – the home of the original ‘Luther‘ series.
Netflix announced the feature in a post to their official Twitter account.

Neil Cross will pen the script for the new film alongside Jamie Payne.
Elba recently appeared in ‘The Suicide Squad‘, which released in July. The 49-year-old is currently working on the sequel to ‘Sonic the Hedgehog‘.
Cynthia Erivo has enjoyed previous roles in features including ‘Harriet‘ and ‘Chaos Walking‘. She is currently working on Disney’s live-action ‘Pinocchio‘ and is allegedly pegged to play a rival detective in the new ‘Luther‘ film.
Andy Serkis, famous for his role in the Lord of the Rings franchise, will return to screens in the upcoming film, ‘The Batman‘. He will reportedly play the lead antagonist in the new Netflix film.
