David Spade won’t be returning to Comedy Central with his television show.

Lights Out With David Spade premiered in 2019 and hosted a variety of guests and was intended to continue until June.

Production for the show was paused due to the coronavirus pandemic, but confirmation surrounding the shows fate was made when Variety reported the show would not be returning.

According to Variety, the show was supposed to run until June, but “ultimately didn’t deliver audiences that lived up to network hopes.” — the show aired over 100 episodes from July 2019 until March 2020.
