Matthew McConaughey Almost Became A Wildlife Guide & Quit Acting

Matthew McConaughey almost quit acting to become a wildlife guide.
The 50-year-old Dallas Buyers Club actor featured in a new episode of Apple TV+‘s The Oprah Conversation where he discussed the options he pondered when he started acting.
He explained, “I dabbled with thinking about other careers,” which included symphony orchestra leader, schoolteacher, high school football coach and even a wildlife guide.
Fortunately, McConaughey stuck it out, saying, “Just the same way I went to Australia for a year and stayed on a handshake, I was in… I started getting that feeling that even though the harder this gets this means there’s more reward on the other side. Stick with it, stay in it, don’t pull the parachute, McConaughey.”
