NFL Confirm That Deshaun Watson Could Face Disciplinary Action

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell confirms that Deshaun Watson will face disciplinary action if he is found to have violated NFL’s personal conduct policy. 

Watson is currently facing twenty-two active civil lawsuits, many of which stem from alleged sexual assault misconduct.

His recent transfer to the Cleveland Browns sparked significant backlash, to which the owners defended the signing.

But Watson could still face disciplinary action if the investigation into the allegations finds that he has violated the league’s personal conduct policies.

Goodell confirmed that there is “no timetable” for a decision to be made.

“We’ve been very clear with every club, whether the criminal matter gets us solved or not, that the personal conduct policy is very important to us,” said Goodell. “They understand that’s something we’re going to pursue.”

If found to have violated conduct, Watson will likely face a suspension or a fine as a punishment.
