Vanessa Kirby Replaces Jodie Comer In Ridley Scott’s ‘Kitbag’

Vanessa Kirby has replaced Jodie Comer in Ridley Scott’s upcoming historical drama, Kitbag.
According to Deadline, Comer was allegedly forced to exit the project over scheduling. Her role as Empress Josephine will now be filled by Kirby.
Kitbag explores the life and origins of Napoleon Bonaparte (played by Joaquin Phoenix) and his often volatile relationship with Josephine. Scott is helming the project, based on a script by David Scarpa.
Apple Studios is producing the picture, with Scott and Kevin Walsh also set to produce through Scott Free.
Kirby made her film debut in the 2012 film The Rise, before gaining international recognition for her portrayal of Princess Margaret in The Crown.
The 33-year-old actress has also featured alongside Tom Cruise in 2018’s Mission: Impossible – Fallout, and is due to reprise her role in the next two instalments.
She will also appear in Florian Zeller’s The Son – which serves as a follow-up to his Oscar-winning film, The Father.
