‘Wild Wild West’ TV Star Robert Conrad Dies At 84

Robert Conrad, known for his role in The Wild Wild West television series, has died at 84. 

According to PEOPLE, he passed away after starting his acting career in 1958, landing his first recurring role in 1959 on Hawaiian Eye.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 1, 1935 and worked as a milkman before moving to Los Angeles, where he rose to fame on various television shows including Hawaiian Eye, The Wild Wild West and Assignment: Vienna. He starred as James T. West in The Wild Wild West from 1965 until 1969 before landing a cameo role in the movies Wild Wild West and More Wild Wild West.

Family spokesman Jeff Ballard says, “He lived a wonderfully long life and while the family is saddened by his passing, he will live forever in their hearts,”

Robert is survived by 18 grandchildren and 8 children — from his ex-wives Joan Kenlay and LaVelda Fann.
