‘90 Day Fiancé’ Star Died From COVID-19
Jason Hitch has sadly died from COVID-19 complications.
His sister, Shannon, told TMZ that his family were able to be with him when he died and “held his hand in his final moments.”
It was also reported that “Jason was not vaccinated and did not have preexisting medical conditions.”
Jason appeared on season two of the reality show, 90 Day Fiancé, in 2014. He married Cássia Tavares – a Brazilian woman who had moved to the US to be with him.
The pair they separated in 2017 and filed for divorce a year later.
Cassia posted an emotional tribute to her social media.
“It’s always sad when someone you spent a large part of your life with stops breathing,” she writes. “I guess one could never be prepared for that. I wasn’t, today.”
Cassia notes that she initially thought it was a joke.
“When I started receiving messages, I thought it was a joke. I’m shocked. My condolences to his family and friends.”
Rest in Peace, Jason.
