Alec Baldwin has received some good news in his ongoing legal battle over the Rust shooting incident.

Baldwin, who was involved in the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie, had been facing a charge of “possession of a firearm with an enhanced criminal status” due to a previous conviction.

However, the charge has now been dropped by the Santa Fe District Attorney’s office, who determined that Alec did not violate the terms of his probation.

Baldwin, who was also a producer on the film, has faced criticism and legal action in the wake of the shooting, with some accusing him of negligence and others blaming the production company and its safety protocols.
