‘90 Day Fiance’s’ Ben Rathbun Arrested

90 Day Fiance star Ben Rathbun was arrested in Michigan on Tuesday after failing to appear in court.
According to TMZ, Rathbun was due to attend a hearing on February 7 in relation to a probation violation but failed to appear. He was arrested after the presiding judge issued a bench warrant.
Rathbun’s probation violation related to a 2020 drunk driving case, in which he was charged with operating a vehicle whilst under the influence and driving with a suspended license. He was subsequently sentenced to 18 months of probation in January 2021.
The reality star’s bail has reportedly been set at $10,000.
Rathbun features in season 5 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days alongside Mahogany Roca. The 52-year-old former pastor began an online relationship with Mahogany, 22, after the pair bonded over their faith.
Though it was widely believed by viewers and family that Rathbun was being catfished by his supposed girlfriend, she proved to be real when he flew out to see her in Peru. Despite this, Rathbun acknowledged in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that Mahogany did not resemble her pictures, but claimed, “It doesn’t really matter.”
“In my opinion, she’s not really trying to deceive anyone, she’s having fun,” he said. “So if she’s a young girl at 20 years old and she finds an app that kind of morphs your face – so we’ve all kind of done Snapchat filters and had a good time with it – she just posted it.”
“She never thought the entire world would be looking at that and judging her for it, you know, she was just having fun. So I don’t have any problem with it… it’s fine, it doesn’t really matter.”
It is unclear if Mahogany was with Rathbun at the time of his arrest.
