Aaron Carter: Girlfriend Arrested For Allegedly Physically Beating Singer By Choking

Aaron Carter was allegedly “choked out” by his girlfriend over the weekend. 

Melanie Martin was arrested on Sunday around 11PM after a fight allegedly broke out between her and Carter.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were called to Aaron’s Lancaster home address following a report of a domestic assault — with the alleged incident starting as a verbal dispute that led to a physical altercation.

Law enforcement say marks were visible on Aaron’s body that were determined to have been as a result of an assault at the hands of Melanie, according to sheriff’s deputies. After the initial investigation and speaking to both parties, it was clear to the arresting officer that Martin was the aggressor.

Writing on Twitter, the 32-year-old opened up about his relationship with Melanie, saying they broke up and she began harassing him and threatened to injury her dog, Peanut. According to Carter, last night got out of hand, saying, “I hope she gets the help she needs. No one deserves domestic abuse female OR MALE … she literally choked me out … I’m devastated.”

Sources tell us that Aaron is adamant his now ex-girlfriend cheated on him on multiple occasions, but those close to Melanie say Carter verbally abused her leading to an altercation on Sunday evening.
