Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson glams up for the cover of Teen Vogue and during the interview, she discusses her mom’s drug abuse and body scrutiny.

The reality star, best known as Honey Boo Boo, is growing up and wants people to call her by her real name.

Ahead of her 16th birthday, Alana sits down with Teen Vogue and shows that she is no longer the child beauty queen that the world recognises.

In the interview, she shares that “she thinks people still view her as the boisterous little girl they met via TV” but she is a real person, not just a television personality.

The star also notes how she doesn’t understand societies oppressive beauty standards.

“Everybody’s all about body positivity, body positivity, until they see a body they don’t like,” she explains.

Alana is confident in her own skin and said that she knows that she is “beautiful, and I know I got a banging body, so…I don’t care.”
