Alyssa Milano Arrested During Voting Rights Protest

Alyssa Milano was arrested outside The White House during a voting rights protest.
The actress attended the protest on the Freedom to Vote Act.
The bill calls for “easing the voter registration process and establishing a 15-day minimum early voting window” reports The Hill.
It would also declare Election Day as a federal holiday.
Alyssa took to her Twitter to announce the news.
She said she was arrested “for demanding the Biden Administration and the Senate to use their mandate to protect voting rights.”
I was just arrested for demanding the Biden Administration and the Senate to use their mandate to protect voting rights. Stand with me and @peoplefor and tell the Senate and White House that voting rights shouldn’t depend on where you live. #DontMuteOurVote

“Voting rights shouldn’t depend on where you live” she concludes.
Ben Jealous, president of People For The American Way, tweeted Joe Biden urging him to match his actions to his words.
Again, @JoeBiden: we need actions that match the urgency of your words on voting rights.
