Amber Heard: Former Assistant Claims She Stole Sexual Assault Story

Amber Heard and Kate James, her former assistant, are going head to head in court over claims the actress stole James’ sexual assault story.

Johnny Depp is suing News Group Newspapers after an article referring to him as a “wife-beater” was published, directly citing Depp.

In the legal battle, Kate, who worked as Amber’s personal assistant from 2012 until 2015, became involved and told the court that she told Heard of a personal, devastating experience that took place in Brazil. The information passed from James to Amber involved the horrifying and violent rape that happened decades ago, and now the former assistant believes that the same story has been used by the Aquaman actress.

Kate said, “She referred directly to a violent rape that occurred to me 26 years ago and she twisted it into her own story and she used it for her own use. I am a sexual violence survivor and that’s very, very serious to take that stance if you are not one.”

James believes that Heard “deliberately smuggled the dogs into Australia. As in several circumstances which I observed, it was as if she felt that she above the law.” after an incident took place in 2015 where Depp and Amber were accused of illegally bringing dogs into Australia.
