Amber Heard Responds To ‘Aquaman 2’ Petitions To Remove Her From The Film

Amber Heard has responded to petitions that want the actress removing from the Aquaman 2 casting.
The 32-year-old actress has been silent on social media in relation to the domestic abuse lawsuit between her and ex-Johnny Depp.
Just last week, news that Depp had been fired from his own film series, Fantastic Beasts, caused outrage amongst his fanbase, with petitions set up in his favour to put him back in his role.
Heard was interviewed by Entertainment Weekly where she discussed the upcoming release of Aquaman 2, which is slated for 2022 – filming starting next year.
She said, “I’m super excited about the amount of fan love and the amount of fan appreciation that Aquaman has acquired and that it has garnered so much excitement for Aquaman and Mera that it means we’ll be coming back,”
In response to the petitions set up against her being cast for a sequel, she explained, “Paid rumours and paid campaigns on social media don’t dictate [castin decisions] because they have no basis in reality … Only the fans actually made Aquaman and Aquaman 2 happen. I’m excited to get started next year.”
