‘America’s Got Talent’ Contestant Skilyr Hicks Dies Aged 23

Singer Skilyr Hicks, who once served as a contestant on America’s Got Talent, has passed away at the age of 23.

According to TMZ, Hicks‘ mother Jodi said she was discovered dead by a friend on Monday (November 6).

The exact cause of Hicks‘ death is unknown, though Jodi told TMZ that her daughter struggled with her mental health. She added that Hicks would “live on through her music.”

Hicks featured in the eighth season of America’s Got Talent in 2013, at the age of 14. She made it through the auditions performing her own music but was eliminated during the live rounds.
