Anna Kendrick To Star In Psychological Thriller ‘Alice, Darling’

Actress and singer Anna Kendrick is set to star in Lionsgate’s upcoming thriller Alice, Darling.
Kendrick is previously credited for her reoccurring appearances in the Pitch Perfect franchise. She has also featured in films including Twilight, The Accountant and, most recently, Stowaway.
The new film follows Alice, who is behaving strangely and keeping secrets about her boyfriend (Charlie Carrick) from her best friends (Wunmi Mosaku and Kaniehtiio Horn).
Secrets are exposed when a local girl goes missing and Alice’s boyfriends arrives unannounced during a girl’s trip away.
Kendrick’s co-star, Mosaku, has recently appeared in Disney’s new Loki series, and starred in Netflix film His House.
Meanwhile, Horn has enjoyed roles in Brandon Cronenberg’s, Possesor, and Kim Nguyen’s, The Hummingbird Project.
Alice, Darling is written by Alanna Francis and will be directed by Mary Nighy.
“Alice, Darling is a subtle, nuanced story about coercion and control.”
“As a director, I couldn’t wish for a better cast of talented actors and creatives to bring this important story to life,” said Nighy.
“The chemistry between Anna Kendrick, Wunmi Mosaku, and Kaniehtiio Horn as the three friends is a joy to see.”
Production for the psychological thriller is already underway in Canada, with hopes for a 2022 release date.
