Ariana Grande Breaks Down In Tears On ‘The Voice’

Ariana Grande broke down in tears after eliminating her first contestant on music talent show The Voice US.

The 28-year-old singer had her first night of battle rounds on Monday’s episode of the show, where she had to eliminate a contestant from her team for the very first time.

Grande, paired up singers Katie Rae and Bella DeNapoli for her first battle and gave them the song No More Tears (Enough is Enough) to sing.

“This song means a lot to me. Me and my mom would sing it together in the car all the time,” Grande said about the song.

At the end of the performance, Grande had to choose which singer would continue to the next stage and which singer would be going home.

While making her choice, Grande broke down in tears saying: “I adore you both so much. You’re both so consistently phenomenal. There’s nothing that either of you can’t sing.”

Grande ultimately picked Rae as the winner of the battle, but also decided to use her one save to allow DeNapoli to continue to the next stage as well.
