Balenciaga Put ‘The Simpsons’ On The Runway
Beloved cartoon The Simpsons just premiered their Paris Fashion Week episode, which sees the residents of Springfield walk for iconic fashion house, Balenciaga.
A fashion week crowd who arrived at the Théâtre du Châtelet expecting a catwalk show were entertained, instead, with a special 10-minute episode of The Simpsons.
The cast included of course Marge, Homer, Bart, Lisa and Maggie but we also saw yellow Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and Anna Wintour front row.
The episode suggests that Balenciaga are making an effort to “ditch the pomp”, according to Elle, and poked fun at themselves manny time during the episode, with Homer gasping at the $19,000 price tag on Marge’s dress, to Marge not being able to fit through the door due to her enormous shoulder pads.
Other veteran Simpsons characters like Smithers, Patty, Selma and Chief Wiggum.
Pub landlord Moe Szyslak also proved himself to be an unexpected catwalk pro, dressed in an oversized brown Balenciaga blazer and brown boots.
Fans of the fashion house seemed equally as obsessed as us.
