Irish actor Barry Keoghan has broken his silence on his mysterious role in Matt Reeves’ The Batman.

The 24-year-old actor, who had been credited as Untitled Arkham Prisoner before the new film was released, has now spoken on his experience filming the new DC movie.

“He’s brilliant, man. Reeves and Dylan Clark especially and together were amazing to me – really, really amazing to me,” Keoghan said of the director, per Esquire Middle East.

Last week in an interview with IGN, Reeves confirmed that Keoghan’s character is in fact the man who will becoming the joker.

When it came to discussing his involvement in the film as a whole, Keoghan admitted that getting to be a part of the Batman universe was a big deal for him.

“Getting to be part of the Batman universe is [a huge deal for me]. I’m a fanboy of these movies, and especially the Batman universe. So be to be in that world, I’m still pinching myself. I’m in such a blessed position,” he said.

You can see The Batman, starring Keoghan, Robert Pattinson and Zoë Kravitz, in cinemas now.
