Bill Cosby Cancels Tour Amid Latest Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Bill Cosby’s planned comedy tour has been cancelled due to the latest sexual assault lawsuit against the disgraced actor.
According TMZ, a representative for Cosby listed a lawsuit filed by Judy Huth as the reason for the cancellation. The 84-year-old was reportedly concerned about the media attention the case would draw whilst he toured.
Huth is suing Cosby for an alleged sexual assault that took place at the Playboy Mansion in the 1970s. She was just 15 at the time.
The lawsuit was initially filed in 2014 but was put on hold while Cosby stood trial for the Andrea Constand case. The suit will now go to court in the spring of 2022.
Cosby was released from prison earlier this year after serving more than two years in prison. His release followed a court ruling that there had been a “process violation” by the prosecution, resulting in his conviction being vacated.
The prison sentence related to Cosby’s conviction in 2018, where he was found guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004.
Dozens of women have since come forward with similar allegations of rape and sexual assault against Cosby.
