Singer Billie Eilish performed double duty on Saturday Night Live at the weekend, acting as both a performer and a co-host.
One sketch was a nod to one of Eilish’s idols, Taylor Swift which saw a upset teenager (Eilish) communicating with her neighbour, McKinnon, using notepads through the window.
Viewers couldn’t get enough of the twisted sketch as one wrote: “This one escalated nicely. Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse, it did. Nice job by the writers and the performers, plus the ironic use of music just sold it.”
“Some people wonder why I started wearing baggy clothes, and there was actually a good reason. It wasn’t just for comfort or for style,” she joked.
“This is hard to say for me, but the real reason I wore big oversized clothes back then is I was actually two kids stacked on top of each other trying to sneak into a R-rated movie.”
Eilish performed her hits, Happier Than Ever and Male Fantasy.
The success of Eilish on SNL has cemented her place as one of this generations superstars.
