Bobby Shmurda has explained to fans in a social media post why he hasn’t been making any new music since his release from prison.
In a post uploaded to his Instagram on Sunday, August 8, Shmurda provided fans with an update on his life alongside a series of images.
“I’m Bizzy running round needed some time to breathe they had me locked up In the pins doing 23,” he wrote in the post’s caption.
The rapper shared a few different pictures one of which shows him posing alongside a grey McLaren sports car, possibly indicting he is enjoying some much needed recreational time after his release from prison.

Shmurda was arrested in 2014 on conspiracy to commit murder. He pleaded guilty to the charge in 2016 and was sentenced to seven years in prison.
After serving his sentence, Shmurda was released from prison earlier this year on February 23 and since then fans have eagerly been awaiting his return to music.
At the Rolling Loud Music Festival in July, Shmurda gave fans a first look at two brand-new tracks during his set.
The titles for both of the two new tracks are currently unknown, and it is also unclear if we will ever see them on a future album.
