Britney Spears Decides Not To Release New Music

The 40-year-old singer has revealed that she has decided to take a step back from making music.
In a recent Instagram post, Britney details that her now-terminated conservatorship has made her “scared” of the music business and that she has decided to not release new music as a way of getting back at those who have hurt her.
Spears reflects on how she was “hurt for no reason” and that she went into a “state of shock.”
But as she never got to tell those around her that she was hurt, she took on an “’everything’s totally fine’ approach” in order to avoid conflict, which left her “absolutely screaming inside.”

“I wanted to be nice but what they did to my heart was unforgivable!” she writes.
“I asked for 13 years to perform new songs and remixes of my old songs. … I had two months off in between each show settings for four years in Vegas. … and every time I asked, I was told, ‘No’! It was a setup to make me fail yet I knew exactly what I wanted my fans to see,” she added,
Spears, continues: “So much wasted time to only embarrass me and humiliate me and I guess it seems odd to most now why I don’t even do my music anymore.”
She says that these examples are just “the surface issues.”
“People have no idea the awful things that were done to me personally … and after what I’ve been through, I’m scared of people and the business!”
“They really hurt me! Not doing my music anymore is my way of saying ‘Fuck You,’ in a sense when it only actually benefits my family by ignoring my real work.”
Britney adds that she feels that her family has embarrassed her and hurt her deeply, before noting that she feels she would get “more respect doing a spread for Playboy than I would for writing a book.”
The importance of reflection and prayer is central to her post. She includes numerous slides about prayer, and encourages fans to pray “when you wake up” and “when life gets hard.”
