Britney Spears Under Investigation After Alleged Assault

Britney Spears is under investigation for an alleged assault against her housekeeper on August 10th.

According to Page Six, an unidentified female employee filed a report against Spears last Monday, claiming the ‘Toxic‘ singer had assaulted her.

Media relations officer for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, Eric Buschow, said the incident was “very minor misdemeanor battery”. He added that the staff member sustained “no injuries”.

Spears‘ lawyer, Matthew Rosengart, described the incident as “nothing more than a ‘he said, she said’”.

TMZ reports that the altercation occurred after Spears confronted her housekeeper for taking away her dogs. The woman allegedly took the animals to the vets, along with Spears‘ dog sitter, and decided not to return the animals over concerns they were being neglected.

After questioning her housekeeper about the whereabouts of her pets, Spears supposedly became upset when the woman revealed she had taken pictures of the dogs.

A small scuffle allegedly ensued, resulting in the woman dropping her phone.

Page Six states that Spears called police to “report some type of theft” but ultimately changed her mind and “decided she did not want to file a report”.

Later on Monday (August 16), Spears‘ housekeeper filed the police report against her employer.
