Britney Spears Unfollows Sister Jamie Lynn On Instagram
Britney Spears has unfollowed her sister Jamie Lynn Spears on Instagram as family tensions appear to grow.
The development is the most recent indication of the straining relationship between the sisters as Spears‘ continues to criticise her family’s handling of her conservatorship, which came to an end in November.
The 40-year-old Toxic singer implied that her family was complicit in the arrangement which she branded “abusive”. Calling out her sister specifically, Spears wrote in an Instagram post in July: “I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes!!!!! My so-called support system hurt me deeply!!!!”
Only a few days ago, Spears took to social media once more to lament the “wasted time” caused by the 13-year-long conservatorship controlled by her father.
“Honestly my family embarrassed me and hurt me deeply,” she wrote. “So tooting my own horn and seeing my past accomplishments reflecting back at me actually helped.”
Jamie Lynn continues to follow her older sister on social media. Her memoir, Things I Should Have Said, will be published on January 18.
