Caitlyn Jenner Supports Texas Abortion Ban

Caitlyn Jenner has shared her perspective on the new abortion ban coming into force in Texas.
The 71-year-old former Olympian is currently running for California governor.
In an interview with CNN on Tuesday (September 7), Jenner said that though she supported a woman’s right to choose an abortion, she also supported the state’s right to impose an abortion ban in Texas.
The new law, which was recently introduced in Texas, effectively bans all cases of abortion after the first six weeks of pregnancy.
“I am for women’s right to choose. I am also for a state having the ability to make their own laws. And so I support Texas in that decision – that’s their decision. I’m okay with that,” said Jenner.
“But as far as being a woman’s right to choose, I don’t see any changes in our laws in California in the future.”
“I think they have the right in their state to do what they want to do. Now, do I agree with the decision or not? No, to be honest with you I actually probably do not agree with the decision.”
“But I agree they would have the right to make their own decision.”
Jenner‘s comments come ahead of the gubernatorial recall election in California on September 14.
