Cardi B faced backlash on social media after making a comment about wanting to spend $88,000 on a purse.
The 28-year-old WAP rapper shared on Twitter that she wanted to purchase a new purse with a hefty price tag of $88k and social media users had something to say about it.
She tweeted, “Should I spend 88K for this damn purse ? Omggg it’s tempting,” with users pointing out that during a global pandemic the money should be spent on donating to those needing it the most.

In response, Cardi said, “I donated a million dollars to fans through CashApp 2 months ago … Also I got 7 uncles and 3 aunts on my daddy side, 9 aunts and 3 uncles on my momma side a whole bunch of cousins I had to help cause of the pandemic … If I want to splurge I can without y’all asking for handouts like me and my husband don’t do so. Thank you.”
