Cardi B Slams Fans That Believe She Lied About Her #MeToo Moment

Cardi B has responded to claims that she lied about her #MeToo story during an interview with Angie Martinez.
The 26-year-old spoke with Angie for an interview where she explained, “I will never forget how I went to shoot for this magazine and the photographer, he was trying to get close to me like, ‘Yeah, you want to get in this magazine?’ Then pulled his d*** out,”
She went on to explain, “You know what’s so crazy? I told the magazine owner and he just looked at me like, ‘So? And?’” — since the clip of her upcoming interview that airs on Thursday at 10 PM ET on WE tv, many have claimed she has lied for “attention” and to associate herself with a movement “for real victims”
On Thursday evening, the rapper exploded in a post, saying, “I BEEN TALK ABOUT THIS SHIT BEFORE I SPOKE TO ANGIE even on my mixtape … truth is this ain’t nothing Far-fetch this s*** still and stay happening.”
She was trying to make a point that women in the entertainment industry often find themselves in a bad situation where people with power attempt to take advantage of upcoming stars. Cardi finished her message by saying, “A lot of you stay at home b***** can’t relate but a lot do. I been in these streets and the streets ain’t Disney,”
The Money rapper plugged various extracts of previous interviews where she mentions her #MeToo moment. One interview that she mentioned was from 2018 on The Breakfast Club where she discussed how some video vixens suffer sexual assault — with the described situation relating very similar to the one she mentioned to Angie.
