Catherine Zeta-Jones Will Play Morticia Addams In Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’

Catherine Zeta-Jones will play Morticia Addams in the new Netflix series ‘Wednesday‘.

According to Variety, Zeta-Jones will play the Addams family matriarch opposite Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams. Their on-screen daughter, and central series character, will be played by Jenna Ortega.

‘Wednesday‘ follows the first school years of the Addams family daughter at Nervermore Academy. There she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree and solve a mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years earlier – all while navigating new relationships at school.

Tim Burton will direct the new show, created by Al Gough and Miles Millar.

The new series has received the go-ahead for eight episodes and aims to release on Netflix in 2022.
