Charlize Theron Tries To Out Do Ellen DeGeneres With Star Studded Oscar Selfie
Remember the famous Oscar selfie taken by Ellen DeGeneres? Well, this year actress Charlize Theron tried to out-do the talk show hosts attempts with her own star-filled selfie.
The Bombshell actress posted a front-row selfie which included her mum and stars such as Tom Hanks, Rita Wison, Salma Hayek, Regina King and Rami Malek.
Other famous stars can be seen in the background of the selfie, such as Quentin Tarantino and Keanu Reeves.
“Good company #Oscars2020,” Theron captioned the pic on Instagram.
Theron’s photo has been compared to Ellens which featured the likes of, Jennifer Lawrence, Jared Leto, Bradley Cooper, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Kevin Spacey and Lupito Nyong’o, taken in 2014.
“If only Bradley’s arm was longer. Best photo ever. # Oscars,” she tweeted.
The tweet was retweeted so much it broke President Obama’s previous record. The ex American president took a selfie with the Danish prime minister during Nelson Mandela’s funeral in South Africa. Which previously held the record for most retweets on the night he got re-elected.
This isn’t the first time someone has tried to beat DeGeneres’ record.
Both Kylie Jenner and 50 Cent have tried when they posted selfies of them with the likes of Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner and rappers Busta Rhymes and Mobb Deep.
