Conor McGregor On MGK Altercation: “I Only Fight Real Fighters”

Conor McGregor and Machine Gun Kelly were separated at the MTV Video Music Awards, following an alleged physical altercation.

Videos and photos have emerged online of the incident, which appear to show McGregor throwing a drink at MGK and attempting to hit him.

Security held back the 33-year-old Irishman while MGK and his partner, Megan Fox, seemed to be escorted away. The couple returned to face photographers once McGregor had moved on.

According to a report by TMZ, McGregor had initially approached MGK with the intention of meeting the 31-year-old singer.

When MGK said something which resulted in his security pushing McGregor away, the UFC boxer lost his temper.

Conor reportedly asked MGK for a photo. MGK’s denial escalated and he pushed Conor, who stumbled before lobbing his drink (also at Megan Fox).

In a brief interview with Entertainment Tonight at the awards, McGregor was asked about the ‘scuffle’ which had reportedly taken place.

“No scuffle at all. No scuffle at all. I don’t know the man,” responded a smiling McGregor.

“Absolutely nothing, I don’t know, I just showed up and I don’t know. I don’t even know the guy to be honest with you,” he said.

“Just rumours. Nothing happened with me, I only fight real fighters – people who actually fight, you know what I mean? I certainly don’t fight little vanilla boy rappers, you know.”

“I don’t even know the guy, I don’t know anything about him. Except that he’s with Megan Fox.”

In response to inquiries about the incident, a representative for McGregor told Page Six: “Conor only fights fighters.”
