CW are set to redo the pilot episode of their live action adaptation show; Powerpuff Girls.

CW’s Powerpuff Girls hasn’t had the best start to their live action adaptation of the 1998 hit; The Powerpuff Girls. The original planned pilot episode is set to be redone due to online backlash.

During a conference call, CW Chairman and CEO Mark Pedowitz said that; “The reason we do pilots is, sometimes things miss,” E!Online report. In the case of Powerpuff Girls, “the pilot didn’t work.” Although the initial pilot didn’t go to plan, CW aren’t going to give up on the project.

Pedowitz did however clarify that the cast will remain the same, and so will writers, executive producer and Warner Bros. “We believe in the cast completely, and we believe in [writers Dialblo Cody and Heather Regnier] and [executive producer Greg Berlanti] and Warner Bros.”

The team will now go back to the drawing board as Pedowitz describes the property as “powerful” and that; “it gauged a lot of interest, and we want to get it right.”
