DaniLeigh Charged Over Alleged Assault Against DaBaby
DaniLeigh has been charged with the alleged assault of her partner, DaBaby.
According to TMZ, police in North Carolina arrived at DaBaby’s home after phone calls to emergency services on Sunday evening and Monday morning. The 29-year-old rapper accused his girlfriend of physical assault and she was arrested following the police’s second visit to the property.
DaniLeigh has since been charged on two counts of misdemeanour assault.
Recording part of the explosive argument on Instagram Live, DaBaby claimed he was afraid for his safety. Posting a statement shortly after the incident, DaBaby said he wanted to “swiftly remove [himself] from any of the ‘hostile’ behaviour”.
“This last hour has been documented for my safety and business. I done been beat on and yelled at and chased around like one of them fatal love attraction type girls. But I knew to keep it together.” He added, “End of the day no big deal I don’t want no charges pressed or nothing I just want her peacefully removed.”
Responding to his statement, DaniLeigh posted: “We been living with each other for the past three months since our baby been born… doin us… and tonight he wanna come in the room talking about ‘I need to go’ don’t matter where I go. Mind U… I have a newborn child, so he said I can go to a hotel.” She added, “I’m sorry to my baby that her father is kicking her out her home at 3 months.”
