Danny Elfman Claims ‘The Simpsons’ Will End Soon

Composer Danny Elfman has caused a stir after he claimed The Simpsons would be coming to an end in the near future.
He told the website Joe.ie that he understand it will be ending soon, saying, “Well, from what I’ve heard, it is coming to an end … I don’t know for a fact, but I’ve hear it will be in its last year.”
Al Jean, the executive producer for the long-running show, cleared up the comment on social media. The 58-year-old wrote on Twitter, “We are all thankful the following article is NOT TRUE,”

In February, the longest-running primetime scripted show was renewed for another 2 seasons. Danny continued his comments, saying, “All I can say is that I’m flabbergasted and amazed that it has lasted as long as it did.
So, you have to realise, The Simpsons, I wrote this crazy piece of music, and I expected no one would hear it because I did not think the show had a chance in hell.” he further admitted he genuinely believed the show would be axed after just three episodes, adding, “So believe me, that is one of the truly big surprises in my life,”
