Dennis Schroder Signs One Year Deal With Boston Celtics

The former LA Lakers player had the opportunity to extend his deal with the team but opted to move into free agency to find a better deal.

Now signing for the Boston Celtics, Dennis Schroder has signed a one year deal, which will see the player earn a reported $5.9 million sources tell ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

If he agreed to stay in LA he would have earned a wage in the region of $80 million over the course of the new contract.

Taking to Instagram to announce the news to his fans the player posted on his story saying, “I’m proud to announce that for the 2021-22 season I’ll be playing for the Boston Celtics!”

He continued by saying that the team is “one of the best franchises on NBA history” and that it will be his honour wearing the jersey.
