Dirk Nowitzki Jersey Retired Following Mavericks Win




Dirk Nowitzki had a career that spanned across two decades following being drafted in 1998, the German international was honoured after his former teams game against Golden State Warriors.

The nights ceremony started on a positive note, with the Dallas Mavericks picking up the win number twenty of the season.

Attention then turned to Dirk Nowitzki who was honoured having his number 41 jersey retired and hung in the cementing his legacy for the franchise.

During his playing career he made fourteen All-Star appearances, winning one NBA title being in 2011, this being the franchises first and only NBA championship in the teams history, reported by ESPN.

Along with these accomplishments he won one MVP season award along with one finals MVP award.


He sits sixth in the all-time scoring list with a total 31,560 points. The governor of the Mavs also revealed the a model of statue of Nowitzki, that will one day be erected outside the stadium.
