Disney Plus Greenlight ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Prequel Series

Returning for the show will be Luke Evans and Josh Gad, Briana Middleton Joins the cast.

The series will follow the three character LeFou (Evans), Gaston (Gad) and Tilly (Middleton).

Set before the 2017 live action movie starring Emma Watson, the show will be an eight episode limited series on Disney Plus. Gad will be joined by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz as, “executive producers/co-showrunner.”

The trio goes on a, “unexpected journey filled with romance, comedy and adventure”, Deadline reports.

Liesl Tommy will be directing the first episode of the series.
