Dolly Parton Will Lead Kenny Rodgers Tribute Concert
Dolly Parton, alongside many others will perform in the hour-long CBS special dedicated to country legend Kenny Rodgers.
Kenny Rodgers: All In For The Gambler will feature names like Chris Stapleton, Idina Menzel, Lady A, Lionel Richie and Reba McEntire.
Rodgers passed away last year, at the age of 81.
Such hits as The Gambler, Islands in The Stream, Lady and We’ve Got Tonight are expected to feature.
Longtime friend and collaborator Dolly Parton shared this message on Instagram;
The show will close with Parton sharing heartfelt memories and anecdotes about Rodgers.
It will end in a showing of a special performance by Rodgers filmed in 2017.
In a statement, producers Keith Wortman and Ken Levitan said “We are so thrilled to share this special with his friends, family and fans all around the world, as he will remain forever in our hearts.”
The special will air on September 23rd on CBS and Paramount+.
