Dua Lipa Says Her Third Album Has Its Own “Unique Sound”

Dua Lipa has revealed that she has begun work on her forthcoming third album, and says fans will be in for a surprise when they hear the new material.
The British-pop singer sat down with The Wall Street Journal recently for a digital cover interview about her personal life and current projects.
The conversation eventually turned towards Lipa’s next album, which the singer says has already mostly been recorded.
“I’ve done a big chunk of writing. I’ve got a lot of it recorded. It has a vision. It has a name, I think—for now. It’s just been fun experimenting,” she said.
“I’m always going to make pop music, but it has its own unique sound, which is exciting and something that feels like a movement from ‘Future Nostalgia.’ It’s still in baby form, so we’ll see as it progresses,” she added.
Lipa also pointed out that her new music could potentially alienate fans that gravitated to her for the sound of her second album Future Nostalgia, as her new music is going to be very different.
“In all honesty, it’s probably not what my fans want to hear,” she said.
