Dwayne Johnson has confirmed in a new interview that he will not be returning to the Fast and Furious film franchise.

The Hollywood superstar made his debut in the franchise back in 2011, when he played bounty hunter Luke Hobbs in ‘Fast Five’.

He then went on to reprise his role for two more films, 2013s ‘Furious 7’ and 2017s ‘Fate of The Furious’. Johnson also made an appearance in the 2019 spin-off film ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ where he starred alongside Jason Statham.

During his time on the Fast and Furious franchise Johnson was involved in a bitter feud with co-star Vin Diesel. The feud began in 2011 when Diesel reportedly disliked Johnson’s acting skills.

Back in 2019, both actors claimed that they had reconciled and made amends with Diesel recently saying that he was giving Johnson “a lot of tough love” to get his performance “where it needed to be.”

However, in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Johnson responded to Diesel’s comments saying: “I laughed and I laughed hard. I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I’ll leave it at that.”

He also confirmed in the same interview that he wont be making appearance in ‘F10’ or ‘F11’.

“I wish them well on Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast and Furious movies they do that will be without me,” Johnson said.
