Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stepped in for Kevin Hart on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
The comedian was scheduled to be the first-ever guest on Kelly Clarkson’s new day time television talk show; due to suffering major injuries in a car accident over the weekend, he was unable to attend.
According to sources, Dwayne shortened his Kauai honeymoon to replace Kevin on the show as he underwent emergency back surgery after he suffered three spinal fractures when his vehicle went off-road, completely crushing the roof and trapped all three occupants within the car.
The Voice judge told her audience that her first-ever guest would be Dwayne, and the audience went wild as he walked on set. She said, “One of his good friends stepped the heck up … and I love him!”
The description of the video on the YouTube channel for The Kelly Clarkson Show reads, “Dwayne Johnson left his honeymoon early to step in for his pal Kevin Hart, who was originally scheduled to be the first guest on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
The Kelly Clarkson Show officially premieres on September 9.
