Dwayne Johnson Shares First Look At DC’s ‘Black Adam’

Dwayne Johnson has shared the first look at his portrayal of DC’s Black Adam.
In an exclusive clip posted to the star’s Instagram, fans are treated to Johnson’s grand unveiling as the comic book supervillain.

The clip also features some behind the scenes footage and commentary from co-stars Pierce Brosnan, Aldis Hodge, Quintessa Swindell, and Noah Centineo. Introducing the preview from the film’s opening sequence, Johnson’s states: “I was born to play Black Adam.”
The clip sees Johnson’s Black Adam awoken from his imprisonment in an underground crypt. After being swarmed by armed men and reducing one of them to ash, he slowly rises from the ground in a sea of gunfire.
Black Adam functions as the villainous counterpart to DC superhero Shazam, played by Zachary Levi.
The new film debuts on July 29, 2022.
