Dwayne Johnson To Star In Christmas Picture ‘Red One’
Dwayne Johnson will star in Amazon’s Christmas adventure film, Red One.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jake Kasdan has been confirmed to direct the feature. Kasdan and Johnson have previously worked together on the production of Jumanji and are also attached to produce the new film. Also producing are Dany and Hiram Garcia through Seven Bucks Productions, as well as scriptwriter, Chirs Morgan.
Red One is described as: “A globe-trotting, four-quadrant-action-adventure comedy, imagining a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre.”
Rumours speculate that Johnson may take on the role of Santa Claus in the film, though this has not been confirmed.
Johnson has enjoyed a busy year, appearing in Disney’s Jungle Cruise and 20th Century Studios‘ Free Guy. He returns to cinemas on November 5, with the release of Red Notice. In 2022 Johnson will make his DC debut as Black Adam.
Red One hopes to begin production in 2022, with a scheduled 2023 release date.
