Ed Sheeran has announced his fifth album ‘=’ releasing later this year and also shared a new song titled ‘Visiting Hours’.
The singer-songwriter has confirmed that his next album titled ‘=’ will release via Asylum/Atlantic.

Sheeran also just released a performance video for a new track called ‘Visiting Hours’.
According to Sheeran, he wrote the song during quarantine in Australia. He was visiting the country to attend his friends memorial.
He stated that the song was about him dealing with the loss of his mentor and friend, Michael Gudinski.
“I wish that heaven had visiting hours / So I can just swing by and ask your advice,” Sheeran sings on the track.

Sheeran has also said that his new album ‘=’ is “best piece of work that I’ve ever done”. He added that the process of finalising the album’s fourteen tracks was “painstaking”.
The new album will release October 29.
