Elliot Page Joins ‘Artful’ Transgender Documentary

Elliot Page is set to join upcoming Berlin-bound documentary as an executive producer. 

He will team up with Italian director and producer, Nicolò Bassetti for Nel Mio Name (Into My Name).

The documentary derives from Bassetti’s own experience with his son – who is trans.

It will follow the lives of four young people in Italy as they discover their own gender identities.

“What stands out to me about Nel Mio Name is the way it so artfully and intentionally presents all the difference pieces that make up a person’s identity,” said Page. “It’s mediation on trans humanity and I’ve never seen another film like it.”

“Knowing that Bassetti consulted closely with his trans son and throughout production is so beautiful to me, and I think that lived experience and input is clear in the film’s perspective.”

He added: “I’m honoured to be on board and can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

Nel Mio Name will premiere at the 2022 Berlin International Film Festival.
