Elton John ‘Forced To Decline’ Princess Diana Memorial Invite

Sir Elton John has sadly been forced to decline the Princess Diana memorial party. 

The singer is currently recovering from hip replacement surgery and has had to reject the Royal invite from to the memorial party for his late friend.

The event, scheduled for October 19th, will be held at Kensington Palace to celebrate the life of the People’s Princess.

It was originally scheduled to take place at the same time as the unveiling of the statue made to commemorate Princess Diana on what would have been her 60th birthday. You can read more about this here.

The party was unfortunately postponed as a result of the Covid pandemic.

Elon has sent his apologies to the Royal Family explaining that he is not physically able to attend the event.

A source has told The Sun that “Elton underwent hip replacement surgery at the start of the month. It went well and he is on the mend but is taking things slow.“
